Goiânia celebrates 93rd anniversary with park reopening and festivals
Goiânia is undergoing several urban and cultural developments as part of its 93rd anniversary celebrations. Parque Mutirama has officially reopened to the public following extensive renovations. The park now features 22 recovered attractions, including a Ferris wheel, carousel, and mini-roller coaster. On its first day of reopening, the park recorded over 5,500 visitors.
Simultaneously, the Festival Viva Goiânia has launched, offering more than 230 attractions across 11 locations in the city. The festival aims to decentralize celebrations by bringing shows, sports, and leisure activities directly to various neighborhoods.
In terms of urban infrastructure, Comurg has planted over 123,000 ornamental seedlings across 35 locations to enhance the city's landscape. Additionally, new traffic works have begun in the Parque Amazônia region to replace a roundabout with a signaled intersection, a project expected to be completed within 30 days to improve traffic flow.
