Mutsu City to resume sale of designated garbage bags on September 16

Mutsu City has announced that its designated combustible garbage bags will become available for purchase starting September 16. This follows a period of supply instability caused by tensions in the Middle East, which led the city to implement a temporary measure on May 25 allowing the use of commercially available bags for large combustible waste.

Mayor Tomoya Yamamoto has urged residents to avoid hoarding and to purchase only what is necessary. The city also noted that starting October 19, waste will not be collected unless the official designated garbage bags are used.
