Muxía cocaine seizure: Two suspects released from prison

Two individuals detained during a massive cocaine unloading in Muxía, Spain, have been released on provisional liberty after approximately five weeks in Teixeiro prison. The incident, which occurred on August 10 at Arnela beach, involved the seizure of 1,470 kilograms of cocaine across 49 bundles.

During the police operation involving the Guardia Civil, National Police, and Customs Surveillance Service, the crew of a narco-boat managed to escape with an additional 1,760 kilograms of cocaine. The two released suspects, one from A Coruña and one resident of Muxía, were caught performing manual labor to move the drugs from the boat to off-road vehicles. Reports suggest their release may be linked to cooperation with judicial and security authorities.

Fifteen other suspects remain in custody awaiting a resolution from the National Court regarding appeals filed by their legal representatives.
