Muy Science Fest Barcelona to feature epigenetics and marine ecology talks

The Muy Science Fest will take place on October 6, 2026, at the Teatre Coliseum in Barcelona. The event features eight speakers covering diverse scientific fields, including astrophysics and neuroscience.

Key presenters include cancer epigenetics researcher Manel Esteller and marine ecologist Cristina Linares. Esteller will discuss how chemical marks regulate gene expression and influence disease responses like cancer. Linares will address the impact of global warming and marine heatwaves on Mediterranean ecosystems, specifically focusing on coral and gorgonian forests.

Tickets for the festival are priced at 5 euros, with all proceeds donated to the Institut Guttmann, a neurorehabilitation hospital.
