Muzaffar Lallmamode arrested in Grand-Gaube drug and money laundering raid

Muzaffar Lallmamode, also known as ‘Muzz’, was arrested on Friday, August 21, during an operation by the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) in Grand-Gaube. Lallmamode, a 32-year-old chief executive officer, had been sought by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) since the previous day in connection with an investigation into suspected money laundering.

Following his arrest, Lallmamode was admitted to a clinic, and police stated that his interrogation would begin once his health condition is deemed stable. A second suspect, a 26-year-old unemployed man, was also arrested at the scene. During the operation, authorities seized various illicit substances, including cannabis, cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with cash and cannabis seeds.

Four vehicles—a white Toyota CHR, a white BMW, a red Toyota Corolla, and a red Mazda—were seized and handed over to the FCC as part of the financial investigation. The suspects are expected to appear in court following the completion of the ADSU procedures.
