Muzamiru Kakande defeats Tiago Muxanga for IBO European title

Ugandan boxer Muzamiru Kakande defeated Mozambique’s Tiago Muxanga at the Harrow Leisure Centre in London to claim the International Boxing Association (IBO) European title.

Muxanga, who entered the bout with an undefeated professional record, performed strongly through the first five rounds. However, he was stopped in the sixth round by a knockout (TKO) from Kakande.

This loss marks the first professional defeat for Muxanga, who previously held the IBO African welterweight title and the Commonwealth Silver Belt. Kakande, often referred to by the nickname ‘The Real King-Kong,’ entered the fight as the statistical favorite.
