Muzo community demands investigation into animal cruelty

Residents of the Muzo municipality in Boyacá have expressed outrage following the discovery of two dogs that suffered severe physical aggression in a rural area. The incident occurred near the entrance to the Patio Bonito sector, where the animals were found with serious injuries indicating extreme cruelty.

Local citizens have formally requested that police authorities conduct a criminal investigation and review surveillance footage from the access points to Patio Bonito to identify those responsible. Animal rights defenders in the Occidente province have called for the rigorous application of Colombian animal protection laws to ensure the perpetrators do not face impunity.
