Muzyka w Raju festival begins 24th edition in Poland

The 24th edition of the ‘Muzyka w Raju’ early music festival begins on August 12 in Brody, continuing through August 23. Organized by the CANOR Early Music Foundation, the event features 25 concerts held across several locations, including Świebodzin, Gorzów Wielkopolski, and Międzyrzecz.

The festival’s repertoire focuses on three historical pillars: the Middle Ages and the 17th/18th centuries, Central European traditions (specifically the Dresden tradition linked to composer Georg Philipp Telemann), and provincial music. The event operates on a residency model, allowing artists to develop programs on-site in settings that might not be available on larger commercial stages.

Performers include ensembles such as Les Trouveurs, La Nébuleuse, and La Morra, alongside musicians from Poland, France, Spain, Croatia, and Norway. The festival is supported by the Lubuskie Voivodeship local government.
