Budapest faces traffic chaos and media leadership suspension

Budapest experienced significant transportation disruptions on Thursday morning due to several simultaneous incidents. A fatal head-on collision between a Hungarian Ford Focus and an Austrian-registered Mitsubishi Grandis occurred on Soroksári út in the 9th district, resulting in the death of a 62-year-old man. Emergency services used hydraulic cutters to rescue two other individuals from the wreckage.

Additional traffic chaos was caused by a motorcyclist being struck near Rákóczi tér and technical failures on the M4 metro line near Bikás park, which disrupted service between Kelenföld and Szent Gellért tér.

In separate news, Duna Médiaszolgáltató Zrt. has suspended István Gulyás, the director of the M5 channel, following the immediate removal of the program ‘Ez itt a kérdés…’. The broadcaster stated the decision was made because a recent episode’s subject matter did not meet professional and content standards. Reports indicate Gulyás was escorted from the headquarters by security personnel.
