MÁV-csoport appoints new board of directors and supervisory board

The MÁV-csoport has appointed a new board of directors and supervisory board to oversee the Hungarian railway and bus transport group. Announced by Minister of Transport and Investment Dávid Vitézy, the new leadership consists of specialists in transport, rail, finance, and science.

Dr. Dániel Tóth-Maros, the Deputy State Secretary responsible for public transport and rail strategy at the Ministry of Transport and Investment, has been named chairman of the board of directors. Other board members include economist Eszter Csányi, representing the Ministry of Finance; economist Balázs Édes; transport engineer Balázs Horváth; and Zoltán Ádám Németh, a leader in public transport and rail safety.

The supervisory board will be chaired by Zoltán Nagy, a former administrative state secretary at the Ministry of Finance and former director of the State Audit Office. The board also includes András Tímár, István Ugron, and Krisztina Rafay. The primary mandate for these new bodies is to support and implement ongoing developments in rail and bus transportation while improving daily service quality.
