MV Electrosystems IPO debut sees 22% premium on Indian exchanges
Mumbai‑based MV Electrosystems Ltd listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at ₹520 and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at ₹519, each representing a premium of more than 22% over its IPO price of ₹425 per share. The offering was subscribed 188.85 times overall, with the non‑institutional investor segment at 374.58 times, retail investors at 205.42 times and qualified institutional buyers at 90.47 times.
The fresh issue raised ₹290 crore, of which ₹180 crore is earmarked for long‑term working capital and ₹21 crore for research and development of new power‑electronic equipment. The market valuation of the company stood at about ₹1,588.67 crore. After the debut, the BSE price surged to ₹586, a 37.88% rise from the issue price.
Analysts urged caution, recommending partial profit booking and a stop‑loss around ₹470. Shivani Nyati, Head of Wealth at Swastika Investmart Ltd, said, "MV Electrosystems delivered a strong listing with a 22% premium, indicating positive investor sentiment."
