MVC Group acquires bikepacking specialist Tailfin

MVC Group, the parent company of cycling brands Castelli and Sportful, has announced the acquisition of Tailfin, a Bristol-based specialist in premium bikepacking bags, racks, and accessories.

Founded in 2017 by mechanical engineer and product designer Nick Broadbent, Tailfin has experienced an average annual growth of approximately 50% over the last five years, reaching nearly 10 million euros in revenue by 2025. The company holds over 20 patents for its proprietary technologies and engineering processes.

Through this acquisition, MVC Group expands its portfolio beyond technical apparel into high-end cycling hardware. Tailfin's founder and management team will continue to lead the company and will retain a minority stake to ensure strategic continuity. More than half of Tailfin's revenue is currently generated in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Germany.
