MVM real estate deal linked to former minister Miklós Seszták

Allegations have surfaced regarding a real estate transaction involving the state-owned energy company MVM and former National Development Minister Miklós Seszták. According to businessman Ferenc Galgóczy, the late owner of Transelektro, Péter Székely, was under significant financial pressure due to a two billion forint bank debt.

In 2015, MVM reportedly sought to purchase a property adjacent to its headquarters for three billion forints. Galgóczy claims that instead of allowing the sale to proceed at market value to resolve Székely’s debts, the funds were diverted through an offshore company linked to Seszták’s circle. The transaction reportedly involved depositing the three billion forint purchase price with Miklós Rátky.
