mVolt+ utility enables extreme overclocking for NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs

The release of the mVolt+ v0.36 utility is enabling extreme overclocking for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards based on the Blackwell architecture. By accessing low-level controls, the tool allows users to bypass VBIOS power limits without requiring physical shunt modding.

Reports indicate that the RTX 5090 has reached power consumption levels of up to 700W, which is significantly higher than the rated TDP. Users have also reported achieving GPU clock speeds of approximately 3.2GHz. Similarly, the RTX 5080 has been pushed to 680W, exceeding the official ASUS ROG Astral TGP limit of 450W by approximately 51%.

While the tool provides granular control over core and memory channel power limits, as well as voltage offsets for various domains, the long-term safety and stability of running hardware at these extreme power levels remain unverified.
