MVP discusses rejecting AEW title run and leaving WWE

Professional wrestler MVP has revealed several key details regarding his career transitions between WWE and All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Speaking on the ‘Marking Out’ podcast, the veteran stated he would reject an offer for an AEW World Championship run, citing physical limitations and a declining desire to compete at a high level. He noted that he no longer possesses the explosiveness required to do justice to the title when working with younger talent.

Reflecting on his departure from WWE, MVP explained that he turned down a lucrative five-year contract offer despite having a year remaining on his previous deal. He attributed this decision to a ‘toxic culture’ and dissatisfaction with the backstage environment and management. He emphasized that his priority was finding peace of mind rather than financial gain, eventually moving to AEW where he reunited with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin as part of The Hurt Syndicate.
