MVSR Engineering College student killed in lighting truss collapse

A tragic accident occurred at MVSR Engineering College in Nadergul, Telangana, during the ‘Sangamam’ annual technical and cultural festival. On Saturday night, a massive metal lighting truss collapsed amid strong winds during a Dandiya celebration, killing one student and injuring at least 12 to 16 others.

The deceased has been identified as Sona Narayan Das, a first-year Electrical and Electronics Engineering student. Her sister, Meena Narayan Das, was among those injured and was reported to be in critical condition. He directed officials to ensure the injured receive the best possible medical care. Police have registered a case against the college management as they investigate potential negligence regarding the event's safety arrangements. Political leaders, including K. T.
