MXGP World Championship heads to Uddevalla, Sweden

The MXGP World Championship enters its 15th round at the Uddevalla circuit in Sweden. Jeffrey Herlings (Honda) currently leads the championship with 675 points, holding a 109-point advantage over Lucas Coenen (KTM), who is sidelined due to a sciatic nerve injury.

In qualifying sessions, Herlings set a dominant pace, leading the group ahead of Tim Gajser (Yamaha) and Romain Febvre (Kawasaki). Gajser, a five-time world champion, is navigating a challenging season with Yamaha, noting that he is working to find more comfort on the bike despite not yet securing a victory this year.

Other notable competitors include Jan Pancar, currently 13th in the standings, and Sacha Coenen, who secured pole position in the MX2 qualifying session. The event in Uddevalla features a unique track combining compact ground with a layer of sand.
