Jeffrey Herlings wins sixth MXGP World Championship in Türkiye

Jeffrey Herlings secured his sixth MXGP World Championship at the Afyon Motor Sport Centre during the MXGP of Türkiye. The Dutch rider achieved a perfect 1-1 performance in the premier class, extending his winning streak to 17 consecutive races. This victory marks his third world title in the top category and his first with Honda HRC Petronas.

In the MX2 category, Guillem Farres claimed victory in the second race, securing the overall win for the Turkish GP round and significantly impacting the championship standings for the Triumph Racing Factory Team. Simon Längenfelder and Liam Everts also secured podium positions in the MX2 class.

The event, held under intense heat, featured competitors from 23 countries. Beyond the racing, the NG Afyon Motofest festival concluded with various musical performances, including concerts by Murat Boz, Ece Seçkin, and Kamuran Akkor.
