Dominican Republic dominates Mexico Rojo to finish Serie del Caribe Kids qualifying undefeated

The Dominican Republic national youth baseball team finished the qualifying round of the III Serie del Caribe Kids undefeated with a 4-0 record. They secured their position at the top of the standings following an 11-1 victory over Mexico Rojo, represented by the Tomateros de Culiacán, at the Estadio Coloso del Pacífico Don Alejo Peralta in Nayarit, Mexico.

Dominican standout Daniel Paniagua led the offense, going 3-for-3 with two home runs, five RBIs, and three runs scored. Germán Paulino also contributed significantly with two home runs and three RBIs. The Dominican team has extended its winning streak in the Serie del Caribe Kids to 17 consecutive victories since 2024.

In other tournament action, Mexico Rojo secured an 8-7 walk-off victory against Panama's Federales de Chiriquí, driven by a decisive single from Damián López in the sixth inning. This win brought Mexico Rojo to a 2-1 record, trailing only the Dominican Republic and Mexico Verde in the standings.
