México Siglo XXI 2026 forum gathers 10,000 scholars

The 2026 edition of ‘México Siglo XXI’ convened 10,000 university scholarship recipients from public and private institutions across Mexico at the Auditorio Nacional. Organized by the Fundación Telmex Telcel, the annual forum aims to provide young talents with perspectives on global challenges, technology, and leadership.

The event features a diverse lineup of international speakers, including former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, discussing global governance and diplomacy, and British composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, addressing creativity and the entertainment industry. Other participants include NYU academic Scott Galloway, actress and UN Messenger of Peace Charlize Theron, and Spanish marathon runner Álex Roca.

A sports panel featuring Mexican football figures Guillermo Ochoa, Javier Aguirre, and Rafael Márquez also participated to discuss teamwork and high performance. The forum was opened by Carlos Slim Domit, President of the boards of Grupo Carso and América Móvil.
