Máximo Quiles sets Moto3 record with 231 points and six victories
Eighteen‑year‑old Spaniard Máximo Quiles, the first rider developed by Marc Márquez’s Vertical Management, has amassed 231 points after eleven Moto3 races, securing six wins and finishing on the podium in every race except Mugello. His lead of 104 points over rival Brian Uriarte gives him a comfortable championship advantage and places his points total among the highest ever recorded after eleven rounds, surpassed only by Luis Salom’s 233 points in 2013.
Quiles races for the CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team and benefits from mentorship by eight‑time world champion Marc Márquez. Ducati Lenovo Team director Davide Tardozzi lauded Quiles’s performance, predicting on the Misterhelmet podcast, “Quiles will likely clinch the Moto3 World Championship this year, then progress to win in Moto2, and eventually arrive in MotoGP. He will be one of the major figures in the championship starting from 2029.” The forecast underscores Ducati’s confidence that Quiles will become a leading MotoGP competitor by the end of the decade.
