Máximo Quiles wins Moto3 Aragon Grand Prix
Máximo Quiles secured victory at the Moto3 Aragon Grand Prix held at MotorLand, extending his lead in the 2026 championship. Despite recently undergoing surgery for a broken clavicle, the Aspar Team rider managed to overtake David Almansa in the closing stages of the race.
Almansa, who started from pole position, finished second, just 0.264 seconds behind Quiles. Marco Morelli completed the podium in third place. The race was marked by several incidents, including a heavy crash by Cormac Buchanan that required him to be removed from the track on a stretcher, and falls by Nicola Carraro and Jesús Ríos.
Following this result, Quiles has accumulated 256 points, maintaining a 97-point advantage over second-placed Álvaro Carpe. The Moto3 season continues in mid-September at the San Marino Grand Prix in Misano, Italy.
