My Friendly Neighborhood to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in October 2026
DreadXP and developers John and Evan Szymanski have announced that the survival horror game My Friendly Neighborhood will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. The title will be available exclusively in a digital format.
Originally released on PC in July 2023 and later ported to PlayStation and Xbox, the game offers a unique take on the genre by replacing traditional zombies and demons with colorful puppets from a defunct children's television program. Players control Gordon, a technician who enters the studio to investigate why the long-canceled show has suddenly resumed broadcasting.
The gameplay features non-linear exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat using unconventional weapons, such as the ‘Rolodexer’. While the game avoids gore and dismemberment, it focuses on a disturbing atmosphere created by the contrast between childhood aesthetics and horror elements. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will also include ‘Neighborhorde’, an unlockable survival mode centered on defending against waves of enemies.
