My Kitchen Rules sees major ratings comeback in Australia
The reality TV cooking competition My Kitchen Rules (MKR) has experienced a significant ratings resurgence on the Seven Network. A recent Monday night episode reached 2.02 million viewers, marking the show’s largest overnight audience since 2019 and surpassing its long-running rival, The Block.
Viewing figures have increased by 34 per cent year-on-year, with notable growth across all key demographics, including a 57 per cent rise in viewers under the age of 18. The show also achieved its highest-ever overnight streaming audience since the commencement of VOZ ratings records.
Producers attribute this comeback to a strategic focus on returning to the types of storylines that drove the show’s peak popularity. Recent episodes have generated significant social media engagement, including discussions surrounding contestant dietary restrictions and controversial presentation choices.
