A 20-year-old Myanmar national was detained by police at the Lembah Sireh Bus Terminal in Kota Bharu during Ops Taring Wawasan. The individual, identified as Lobia Moltas, was found acting suspiciously and failed to provide valid identification, presenting only a questionable A4-sized document copy.

According to SAC Ahmad Radzi Hussain, Commander of the Southeast Brigade of the General Operations Force (PGA), the suspect claimed to have entered Malaysia in 2024 via a sea route from Meiktila, Myanmar, to Gelang Patah, Johor. The journey reportedly lasted approximately eight days.

The suspect alleged he paid an agent approximately 7,719,660 kyat, which is roughly RM15,000, to facilitate his travel from Myanmar into Malaysia. Since entering the country, he had been working as a vehicle panel beater and painter in the Kulai area of Johor. He was detained under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/1963 and has been taken to the Kota Bharu District Police Headquarters for further investigation.
