MyChart warns users of phishing scams targeting medical records

MyChart has issued a warning regarding an increase in phishing scams targeting its users. Scammers are using the MyChart name, logo, and likeness to create fraudulent emails, text messages, phone calls, and websites designed to appear official.

These attacks often direct users to fake websites displaying fabricated medical records or attempt to steal login credentials. Some scams entice victims with promises of free gifts, such as a ‘2026 Medical Health Kit’, to trick them into providing payment details.

To identify these scams, users should verify that emails originate from the @mychart.com domain and watch for misspellings like ‘Michart’. MyChart advises users to remain skeptical of unsolicited offers and to avoid clicking on pop-ups or links that claim to fix account issues.
