Myerson appoints Richard Lloyd as chief executive
Altrincham-based law firm Myerson has announced a leadership transition, appointing Richard Lloyd as chief executive effective September 1. Lloyd, who has been with the firm for 26 years, previously served as chief operating officer and led the commercial property team.
Carl Newton, who has led the firm since 2005, will transition to the role of non-executive chair of the board. In this capacity, Newton will oversee governance and support the firm’s Employee Ownership Trust. Under Newton’s leadership, Myerson grew from a £5 million practice to a business generating over £19 million in annual revenue.
Additionally, the firm announced the promotion of Carly Traverse to partner within the residential property team. Myerson became Manchester’s first 100 per cent employee-owned law firm in 2024.
