Mykel Williams returns from ACL injury in 49ers win over Seahawks

During the San Francisco 49ers' 32-29 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, defensive end Mykel Williams made his first appearance since suffering an ACL injury last season. Williams played 23 defensive snaps and eight special teams snaps, recording two tackles. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed satisfaction with the performance, noting that Williams met the team's goal for his return and showed a good first step without any bad plays.

On the Seattle Seahawks side, defensive tackle Leonard Williams played through an ankle injury sustained during a previous game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Despite experiencing a sensation of 'crunchiness' in his ankle during that game, Williams participated in the matchup against San Francisco, recording one assisted tackle and a hit on quarterback Brock Purdy. The Seahawks now face the Denver Broncos on short rest later this week.
