Mykolas Alekna wins discus throw at Diamond League in Chorzow

At the Diamond League meeting in Chorzow, Poland, Lithuanian athlete Mykolas Alekna won the discus throw competition with a distance of 72.58 meters. Alekna was the only competitor to surpass the 70-meter mark during the event.

Slovenian European champion Kristjan Čeh secured second place with a best throw of 68.93 meters. Swedish athlete Daniel Ståhl finished third with a mark of 68.25 meters.

Other notable performances at the meet included Armand Duplantis clearing 6.20 meters in the pole vault, and Ethan Strand winning the 1500m race. Slovenian athlete Žan Rudolf also competed in the 1500m event.
