Mykonos: Arab tourist dies after drowning at Psarrou Beach

An Arab tourist has died after being found unconscious in the sea at Psarrou Beach on Mykonos.

On Monday morning, bystanders noticed the man floating motionless in the water. A local lifeguard used an inflatable boat to bring the man to shore with the assistance of other swimmers. Despite immediate first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) performed by a crowd of people, the man could not be revived.

The body was transported to the island's hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, which appears to be drowning. The Mykonos Port Authority has launched a preliminary investigation into the incident.
