Mykonos Betsson basketball club to debut in 2026‑27 FIBA Europe Cup

Greek club Mykonos Betsson secured its first participation in the FIBA Europe Cup for the 2026‑27 season, marking the island’s inaugural entry into a European basketball competition. The achievement follows the team’s recent progress in domestic play, including a debut in the Stoiximan GBL, a playoff berth and a Final Eight appearance in the Greek Cup.

Technical director Vangelis Ziagos highlighted the milestone as a historic moment for both the club and the island. Mykonos will join fellow Greek side Heracles (Iraklis) in representing Greece, with the qualifying draw scheduled for 16 July to determine their group-stage opponents.
