Mykonos Betsson begins 2026-27 preseason training

Mykonos Betsson has commenced its first training session in preparation for the 2026-27 basketball season. The team is currently conducting its initial training phase in Athens under head coach Vangelis Ziagos and his coaching staff.

Following a successful previous season in the Stoiximan GBL and qualification for the FIBA Europe Cup, the club is integrating both returning players and new signings. Returning members include Vangelis Mantzaris, Vasilis Kavvadas, Dionysis Skoulidas, and Giannis Sideris. New additions to the roster include Roni Harell, Elijah Childs, Philippos Tigas, Kyriakos Petanidis, Vasilis Tolias, and Angelos Lagios.

The team is also awaiting the arrival of Taiari Appleby and Devin Cannady, expected on August 19, and Jermaine Love, expected on August 22. Additionally, Deejay Funderburk is scheduled to join the preparations once he completes his commitments with the Lebanon national team during the FIBA World Cup 2027 window.
