Myles Garrett expected to remain sidelined for Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay provided an update on star pass-rusher Myles Garrett, indicating the two-time Defensive Player of the Year is unlikely to return to practice before the team’s October 18 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

Garrett was placed on injured reserve following arthroscopic knee surgery after a season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers. While McVay confirmed that rehab is progressing well, Garrett is expected to miss several more games. Depending on his recovery timeline, he may remain sidelined through matchups against the Buffalo Bills, the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Garrett joined the Rams via a blockbuster trade with the Cleveland Browns in June. Amid his absence, Buffalo Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins sent a personal message of support to Garrett, stating, “Hope he gets healthy, man. Football misses him.”
