Mylopotamos hosts 4th Local Nutrition and Circular Economy Festival

The 4th Festival of Local Nutrition and Circular Economy was held on August 10 in Perama, organized by the Municipality of Mylopotamos. The event featured significant participation from local social structures, specifically the KAPI and KIFI centers for senior citizens.

Members of these social structures prepared and served traditional Cretan dishes, including zucchini fritters (kolokythokeftedes) and seasonal vegetables with snails. Mayor Georgios Klados praised the elderly participants as the “guardians of our tradition” and the “living soul of our place.”

Deputy Mayor of Social Policy Zacharias Ladianos described the event as a celebration of social inclusion and active aging, commending the staff of the Social Protection Directorate for their preparation and teamwork.
