Mynt files for record-breaking GCash IPO in the Philippines

Mynt, the parent company of the Philippine mobile wallet GCash, has filed a prospectus for an initial public offering (IPO) on the Philippine Stock Exchange that could become the largest in the country’s history. The company plans to offer up to 8,027,409,600 common shares at a maximum price of ₱10 each. Including an overallotment option, total proceeds could reach approximately ₱92.32 billion (roughly $1.5 billion).

The offering is expected to consist of approximately 80% existing shares sold by shareholders, including Ant Group, and 20% newly issued shares. Proceeds are intended to fund digital financial services growth, product development, and the expansion of Mynt’s lending portfolio. At its maximum indicative valuation of ₱669 billion, Mynt would exceed the market capitalization of BDO Unibank, the Philippines’ largest bank.

More than 20 cornerstone investors, including BlackRock, T. Rowe Price, Capital Research, HSBC Global Asset Management, and the International Finance Corp., have committed to participate. The offer period is scheduled for October 6–12, 2026, with pricing expected on October 1 and a tentative listing date of October 20, 2026, under the ticker GCASH.
