Myprotein expands into UK chilled soup market

Sports nutrition brand Myprotein is expanding into the chilled soup market with a new range of high-protein soups and wellness bowls. The products will be manufactured at a 14-allergen-free factory in Harrogate.

The range includes flavors such as Thai Red Chicken, Chicken and Red Lentil Daal, Golden Chicken and Turmeric, Classic Chicken and Veg, and Chipotle Chicken. Each 375g pot is designed to provide between 19 and 23 grams of protein while remaining under 250 calories.

The launch is scheduled for Tesco ROI on 14 September, followed by a national rollout across UK stores on 5 October. The move targets a gap in the £271 million chilled soup category, where global-inspired flavors currently account for less than 15 per cent of the market.
