MyRepublic launches Hyperpeer gaming optimization service
MyRepublic has launched Hyperpeer, a game acceleration service designed to reduce latency and ping for online gamers in Singapore and Malaysia. The service is available as a standalone add-on, meaning users do not need to be MyRepublic internet subscribers to utilize it.
Hyperpeer functions by optimizing routing to select the shortest available paths to game servers, utilizing a private network dedicated exclusively to gaming traffic. This separation from bandwidth-intensive activities like video streaming is intended to reduce packet loss, jitter, and ping by up to 30%. The service is managed via a lightweight desktop application and includes access to a 24/7 helpdesk.
Supported titles include various popular multiplayer games such as World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, Apex Legends, and Honkai Star Rail. MyRepublic has also integrated a 24-month subscription to Hyperpeer into its GAMER+ Broadband Plans. The service is priced at S$9.90 per month, with a yearly option available, and includes a 7-day trial with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
