Myrlyn and Agama release new software management versions
New versions of the open-source software management tools Myrlyn (1.1.0) and the installation assistant Agama (25) have been released.
Myrlyn 1.1.0 introduces several functional and visual updates, including improved repository management. Administrators can now use a “Protect All” feature to prevent dependency conflicts during system updates for specific sources like NVIDIA or Packman. The update also features an enhanced repository view with better filtering, a redesigned table for package versions that highlights available upgrades, and improved support for dark mode and SVG logos.
Agama 25 focuses on user experience and technical stability. Key updates include the ability to open a terminal directly at the bottom of the interface during installation and the option to restart or shut down the system after an installation is aborted, provided system changes have not yet been applied. The network configuration tool for bonds and bridges has been improved with intelligent auto-completion to reduce manual entry errors. Additionally, Agama now offers a stabilized HTTP interface following the OpenAPI standard and improved documentation for its JSON schemas.
