Mysłowice President Dariusz Wójtowicz reports attempted murder

Dariusz Wójtowicz, the president of Mysłowice, has reported an attempted murder following the discovery that the wheel bolts on his private vehicle had been intentionally loosened. Wójtowicz shared the news via social media, stating that the incident could have resulted in a tragedy had he not been driving cautiously.

The mayor reported that upon taking his car to a diagnostic station, he was informed that three wheels had loosened bolts and one bolt was missing. He noted that the perpetrator likely knew about his travel plans. Wójtowicz also described a pattern of recent harassment, including threats, insults, blackmail, and the stalking of himself and his partner.

Local police in Mysłowice have opened an investigation under the supervision of the prosecutor's office. Wójtowicz has provided extensive testimony to authorities. While the mayor has characterized the event as an attempt on his life, law enforcement officials will formally determine the legal classification of the incident.
