Mysuru Dasara 2026 celebrations begin with Yuva Sambhrama
Preparations for the Mysuru Dasara 2026 celebrations have commenced with the inauguration of the Yuva Sambhrama programme at the Kuvempu Open Air Theatre. The event, inaugurated by District In-charge Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah, features cultural performances by hundreds of students and is scheduled to run until October 5.
As part of the festival's lead-up, the Mysuru District Administration has begun formally inviting dignitaries to the festivities. This includes extending invitations to Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar, and Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara. Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah personally delivered the formal invitation to Chief Minister Shivakumar in Bengaluru.
The Mysuru Dasara, also known as Nada Habba, is a major cultural festival celebrating the triumph of good over evil and honoring Goddess Chamundeshwari. The main celebrations are set to take place from October 11 onwards.
