Mysuru Dasara: 22 ministers assigned to oversee festival celebrations
Karnataka Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar has announced significant organizational changes for the upcoming Mysuru Dasara celebrations, scheduled from October 11 to 21. In a departure from previous years, 22 ministers will be assigned specific responsibilities to oversee various segments and daily events of the festival to manage its expanded scale.
Sri Abhinava Gavisiddeshwara Mahaswamiji of Koppal has accepted an invitation to inaugurate the festivities. The Chief Minister also extended invitations to members of both Houses of the state legislature to attend the celebrations.
To ensure smooth operations, administrative duties have been divided among 18 sub-committees. These committees will coordinate cultural programs, religious ceremonies, exhibitions, and sports events. The state also aims to promote ‘South unity’ by inviting Chief Ministers from other South Indian states to participate.
