Mysuru woman dies by suicide alleging workplace harassment

A young woman identified as Nageshwari, a Tata product promoter at a Reliance Mart outlet in Mysuru, has died by suicide after allegedly enduring severe workplace harassment. According to reports, Nageshwari consumed pesticide in the Hinakal area.

A suicide note recovered by police explicitly names a supervisor, identified as “Dolly Madam,” accusing her of systematic harassment and targeting Nageshwari over trivial matters. The victim's family alleges that Nageshwari was denied a weekly day off for approximately four months and that her requests for emergency leave were also denied.

The family claims that Nageshwari lost her position after questioning the supervisor regarding these unfair working conditions. Local authorities under the Vijayanagar Police Station are investigating the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the death to determine if labor law violations contributed to the incident.
