Mytilene Parents Union announces student history competition

The Parents and Guardians Union of the Municipality of Mytilene has announced a competition for students to create a 2027 diary or album themed ‘A Story of Our Place’. The initiative aims to encourage students to explore and document the history, identity, and cultural heritage of their local area through texts, drawings, and photographs.

Participating schools are invited to submit works covering topics such as local traditions, historical buildings, monuments, and significant local figures. Submissions should ideally include photographic material with brief descriptions. The deadline for submitting printed entries is Monday, December 14, 2026, at the Union's offices on Gianni Deli Street.

A special committee will evaluate the entries, and the three best diaries or albums will be awarded during a dedicated ceremony organized by the Union.
