Múzquiz prepares for traditional Santa Rosa de Lima Fair

The municipality of Múzquiz is preparing for its traditional Feria de Santa Rosa de Lima, scheduled to run from August 21 to August 30. The event, which celebrates the traditions of the 'Pueblo Mágico', will feature a variety of musical, cultural, and religious activities.

Mayor Laura Jiménez Gutiérrez announced a musical lineup that includes artists such as Apache, Invasores, and Alex Treviño. The festivities aim to preserve local identity and provide a family-oriented gathering for residents of the Carboniferous Region.

As part of the preparations, a pageant to select the festival's queen is underway. Five candidates—Karen Fabiola García Pérez, Ángela Jeyly Lerma Rodríguez, Aiko Yamamoto, Melina Suárez, and Nicole Guadalupe Ríos Martínez—are competing in a 'one peso, one vote' scheme. The final results are expected to be announced on August 16 at the Múzquiz main plaza.
