MZT Skopje and OK Borac prepare for demanding new sports seasons

MZT Skopje Aerodrom, the Macedonian basketball champion, is preparing for a demanding new season competing in the domestic league, the ABA 2 League, and the FIBA EuroCup. The team is scheduled to defend its Supercup title against Kumanovo on September 26. Coach Vasko Atanasov noted that the team faces a dense schedule, with 26 matches planned by the end of the year, averaging one game every 80 hours. Key upcoming opponents include Sloboda Užice, Kumanovo, and the Greek team Iraklis.

In volleyball, OK Borac faces a challenging start to the new Premier League season. Their opening matches include a home game against defending champions Napredak Odžak on October 2-3, followed by an away match against last season's playoff finalist, Kakanj 78, on October 9-10. The league structure dictates that teams finishing from 1st to 8th enter the playoffs, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
