N1 and CNN end long-standing media partnership

The long-standing partnership between the regional news network N1 and the American media organization CNN has ended following the expiration of their cooperation agreement on August 31, 2026. Brent Sadler, Executive Director of News at Adria News Network (ANN), confirmed that the company decided not to renew the arrangement.

This development follows the sale of N1 and several other regional media assets by United Group to the Portuguese investment firm Alpac Capital. The transition has coincided with significant personnel changes and shifts in programming across the network's operations in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, and Slovenia.

Despite the end of the CNN association, ANN stated that N1 will continue to operate as an independent regional news organization, maintaining its editorial standards and commitment to its audiences in the former Yugoslavia market.
