N26 appoints Marc Hess as Chief Financial Officer

N26 has announced the appointment of Marc Hess as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Managing Director for N26 SE and N26 Bank SE. The appointment is scheduled to take effect on 15 October 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

Hess brings extensive experience from several major German financial institutions. He previously served as CFO of Aareal Bank from 2018 to 2024 and held senior executive roles at Deutsche Postbank, including CFO and deputy CEO. He also served as Global CFO for Deutsche Bank's Private and Business Client segment.

N26 Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Andreas Dombret, stated that Hess's expertise in retail banking, capital management, and regulatory resilience will complement the existing leadership. With this appointment, all positions on the digital bank's Management Board are now filled.
