Na Hong-jin directs South Korea's most expensive film

Director Na Hong-jin has completed ‘Welcome to Hope’, which is set to become the most expensive film in South Korean cinematic history. The production, described as a blend of science fiction, thriller, and cosmic horror, stars Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander.

The plot follows the residents of a small village located near the North Korean border. The community's peace is disrupted after the discovery of a cow carcass showing signs of an attack by a mysterious creature with large claws, leading to a confrontation between the locals and an unknown force.

The film is scheduled for theatrical release on October 30.
