Na Hong-jin's sci‑fi thriller 'Hope' set for Italy release on Nov 5

South Korean director Na Hong‑jin's new science‑fiction action thriller ‘Hope’ will debut in Italian cinemas on 5 November 2023, distributed by Mubi. The film, which recently screened at Cannes, features an international cast that includes Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Hwang Jung‑min, Zo In‑sung, Hoyeon, Taylor Russell and Cameron Britton.

Set in the isolated mountain town of Hope, the story follows police commander Bum‑seok and officer Sung‑ae as they battle a devastating forest fire that cuts off communication. Residents venture into the wilderness to hunt a mysterious creature, only to find themselves trapped in a nightmare. The release adds a high‑profile sci‑fi entry to Italy’s autumn film slate.
