Naša radost Preschool Institution denies capacity shortage claims

The Naša radost Preschool Institution in Subotica has issued a statement addressing misinformation circulating on social media regarding its capacity for the 2026/2027 school year. The institution clarified that claims suggesting many children will not be able to find placement are false.

Currently, 90 percent of children whose parents submitted applications within the official deadlines have already been placed based on preliminary lists. Remaining children will be placed following committee evaluations and the processing of appeals. The institution noted that final lists will be established as soon as capacity becomes available at the Šumica kindergarten, which is expected to take approximately one month.

The delay is attributed to ongoing energy efficiency renovation works at the Šumica kindergarten, a project aimed at improving buildings within the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. Once these renovations are complete, the institution maintains that all children will have a place.
